Installing Avira AntiVir Official Chinese Version on Windows 2003

Finally got to use the Chinese version of Avira, but since the system is 2003, it couldn’t be installed smoothly and required modifying the installation files.

The method is to replace the setup.exe file from an old version with the one in the new version. This way, you can not only install the latest version directly on the 2003 system but also no longer need to spend a long time updating the engine.

First, download the old version of Avira, change the exe extension of the installation package to rar, then double-click the archive to enter the basic directory and extract the setup.exe file for later use.

Then download the latest version of Avira from the official website, also change the exe extension to rar, replace the setup.exe file in the basic directory with the old version’s setup.exe that was just extracted,

then change the extension back to exe, and double-click to install!

However, the old version of Avira is hard to find, and it needs to be V6 version, probably versions before 2007. If you can’t find it, you can also download Xiaoyue’s Avira or other versions that support 2003, and use the files inside to replace and install.
