Using easystroke Mouse Gestures in DEBIAN 11 BULLSEYE

Technology ~1081 words · 3 min read - views

When using Chrome browser in Linux system, mouse gestures conflict with the browser’s right-click menu, requiring two right-clicks to open the browser menu, which is quite cumbersome.

Download the latest version of easystroke. It seems the original author’s release page only updated to 0.5.6 and is now discontinued, but the open source community has the latest version 0.6.0, easystroke_0.6.0-0ubuntu14_amd64.deb

$ sudo dpkg -i easystroke_0.6.0-0ubuntu14_amd64.deb

If dependencies are missing, please install them according to the prompts based on your situation. The dependency I encountered was libboost-serialization1.71.0_1.71.0-6ubuntu11_amd64.deb

$ sudo dpkg -i libboost-serialization1.71.0_1.71.0-6ubuntu11_amd64.deb

2022-03-02: Recent installation had issues, using the installation package here can solve it http://mxrepo.com/mx/testrepo/pool/test/e/easystroke/
